The following is from the "Only Nixon Could Go To China" file. The following is a transcript of Rep Ron Paul (R- TX 14) speaking to the House on September 8th. This might be the Fullbright moment of the Shrub craptocracy. Any lack of support for “completing the mission” is said, by the promoters of the war, to be unpatriotic, un-American, and detrimental to the troops. They insist the only way one can support the troops is to never waver on the policy of nation building, no matter how ill-founded that policy may be. 1. “To defend the national security of the U.S. against the continuing threat posed by Iraq and”
2. “Enforce all relevant United Nations Council resolutions regarding Iraq.”
