Torture Is Not US! - Petition Pimping Once Again!

So much torture, bloodshed, deceit. You cannot make your young people practice torture twenty-four hours a day and not expect to pay a price for it.

Yes, another petition, this one is to support the McCain Amendment. This anti torture amendment has been endorsed by former Sec of State Gen. Colin Powell, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, the American Jewish Committee, and many former military officers. So, on religious, ethical, moral, and common sense grounds; torture should NEVER be the policy of a civilized and democratic society.

Meanwhile the Vice President of the United States and former Sec. Of Defense Richard Cheney continues to work for this amendments defeat. Current Sec of State Rice continues to speak out of both sides of her mouth and the President pays lip service to honoring US law and international treaties.

Why would they support this policy? It is not effective as a means of interrogation, breaks our own laws, as well as treaties we have sworn to honor.
