Um.... These are Strippers? Check Please!

The Smoking Gun has a bit of a rib tickler tonight:

25 Florida Strippers Nabbed Tampa-area clubs again raided in undercover sting operation FEBRUARY 3--Florida investigators yesterday returned to the scene of the grind, arresting more than two dozen strippers in an undercover investigation. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the dancers were allegedly involved in a variety of criminal activities, including cocaine peddling, prostitution, lewdness, exposure of sexual organs, and the improper solicitation of alcohol sales.

Nah, your kidding? Strippers involved in lewd behavior? Let us define lewd and its partner in crime lascivious. I love that word, it just sounds dirty, let it roll of the tongue a bit la-civ-ious.

OOOOOOH! It tingles me!

Or may be break it into two syllables La Civious. Sounds like a city in France, or a great name for a strip club. Wait that does sound good...... I digress,

lewd and lascivious adj., adv. references to conduct which includes people living together who are known not to be married, entertainment which aims at arousing the libido or primarily sexual sensation, open solicitation for prostitution, or indecent exposure of genitalia (which is itself a crime).

Isn't that the whole freaking point of going to a strip club? If you plunk down money at a strip joint, whether it is the Chippendale's, Goldfinger's, or the local dive the strippers had better damn well be involved in lewd behavior. If they aren't you probably took a wrong turn and are in another hive of moral iniquity, the local megachurch.
