BUCK FUSH!

April 5,2006, The Progressive Online:
Denise Grier won’t have to pay $100 for her bumpersticker after all.

Grier was pulled over on March 10 by a DeKalb County cop for having the sticker “I’m Tired of All the BUSHIT” on her car. He gave her a ticket for a “lewd decal,” and the price was $100.

She contested it.

On April 4, Judge R. Joy Walker dismissed it, as Joe Johnson reported for the Athens Banner-Herald.

This segment from the Athens Banner-Herald:
Grier's run-in with the law was first reported by the Athens Banner-Herald, and quickly made it into newspapers across the country and on Web sites around the world. The 47-year-old woman was a guest on an Atlanta radio talk show, and she said the Comedy Central cable television program "The Daily Show" has expressed interest in the story.

With the instant notoriety came expressions of support, as well as harassing telephone calls to Grier's home, including a "quasi-death threat," she said.

Atlanta talk show host Chris Krok "threatened to come to my house and shout obscenities," Grier said.
