Hmmm... Anyone Other Historians Recognize This Kind Of Thuggery?

"Wheels of fire, cosmic, rich, full-bodied honest victories over desperation. "
Thomas Merton (1915-1968)

This is getting sad, the more desperate they get the more the christo-fascist zombie brigades show what they really are, boils on the ass of American politics. I am not sure which surprises me LESS the base thuggery of DeLay's supporters or DeLay's denial. The key to really winning in November, or any of the special elections which may crop up (Like CA-50 GO! FRANCINE), is NOT to respond in kind to asshole maneuvers like the following:
Delay Supporters Crash Democrat's Even

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Supporters of U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay protested at an event Thursday held by the Democratic candidate for the congressman's seat, and the event quickly dissolved into a shouting and shoving match. Police were called, but made no arrests.

"I got pushed. I got hit. I got a sign wadded up in my face and my hat pulled down over my eyes," said Marsha Rovai, 69, a supporter of Nick Lampson. "They just did it to be nasty."

DeLay campaign manager Chris Homan said he organized the protest but DeLay, a Republican, didn't know about it.

Nick Lampson was a centrist New Democrat, when he last sat in Congress, as the Rep from the pre-Delay redistricting TX-8, so charting Nick is a little easier then pinning down a candidate who never served in public office.

While I do not agree with some of Nick's views, I do know that he is a HELL of a lot better than DeLay or any puppet the BugMan can spit out of his personal corner of political hell.
