File Under: You Don't Say....

Plame was ‘covert’ agent at time of name leak
Newly released unclassified document details CIA employment

WASHINGTON - An unclassified summary of outed CIA officer Valerie Plame's employment history at the spy agency, disclosed for the first time today in a court filing by Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald, indicates that Plame was "covert" when her name became public in July 2003.

The summary is part of an attachment to Fitzgerald's memorandum to the court supporting his recommendation that I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Cheney's former top aide, spend 2-1/2 to 3 years in prison for obstructing the CIA leak investigation.

The nature of Plame's CIA employment never came up in Libby's perjury and obstruction of justice trial.
No shit huh? What really irks me is that the more pedantic members of the right-win noise machine will still be denying this by tomorrow. No apologies, no repenting their complicity with criminals. You know that douche-bag Hannity and his drug addled side kick Limbaugh will be calling for the head of Fitz, Plame, and "activist judges" that decide cases on evidence. Oh and lets not forget the rights banal screeching to Free Scooter!!.

Can we PLEASE impeach these bastards now???? I mean what does someone have to do, have sex with a bear to get a little movement in Washington.

In Memorium

I do not like game shows, I ranke them slightly higher than reality television on my tolerate o' meter. However put on Match Game and I am slobbering, Cheeto eating, 2-liter bottle o' Sprite guzzling couch potato. Meet Me In September....

It looks like the issue of Iraq, the surge, and the funding of a fiasco has officially been placed on the Congressional back burner until September. Its prominence in the news and the American psyche will only grow. Each death from now till Congress takes up the issue will be the price of being reasonable.

I hate it.

If I wanted to be uncivil, I would call this recent vote the steaming pile of rancid wombat shit it is, but we must be civil. We don't want the Times or WaPo to think of us as unwashed, rude, and not in the Washington loop. Frack'em!

How much more does American opinion have to turn on this war or its criminally minded ideologues that forced it? The Bush infestation has shot its load, spent its 5 cents of political capital. It is time to bring our soldiers home!

There are no more excuses.

This is the quandary Congressional Democrats have found themselves in. We are no longer the minority party, that excuse is gone. The whole concept of supporting the troops by keeping them in a crumbling corner of hell was bullshit to begin with. If we approve funding with timetables and benchmarks, and Dimwit McFrackstick doesn't like it, then too bad. That's life baby cakes. Congress holds the purse strings swifty live with it. Thanks for nothing. Waiting till a vote is pointless, when you COULD HAVE led by example is not something to put on your presidential resumes. I don't know if Edwards, if he was still in the senate, would have done something differently, but at least he has been beating the peace drum the most consistently, at least amongst the major candidates.

Okay, with the settling in phase at my new job over, I hope to be posting at my usual rate.

Tony Snow you are an inconsiderate asshole

Maybe you should go back to taking your chemo and leave the poor residents of Greensburg, Kansas alone. And I actually kind of felt sorry for you when I heard your diagnosis.

Governor Sebelius is concerned because of the huge cleanup that faces this small town because of the tornado. She tells the press that:

"I don’t think there is any question if you are missing trucks, Humvees and helicopters that the response is going to be slower,” Sebelius said. “The real victims here will be the residents of Greensburg, because the recovery will be at a slower pace.”

No offense sweetie, but have you seen New Orleans lately, doesn't really look like a thriving metropolis and that was almost 2 years ago. if you actually think that you are going to get ANY help, dream on. See the link to which Snow replies to this.

And Bush is only going there tomorrow, gee I wonder what this sounds like (Katrina, hello).

I guess being a Democratic governor gets you shit in this world, huh?

Hmm. New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, Kansas, I wonder how FEMA will handle all of this mess?
Wait wait let's have another photo op of the moron with a group of dancers, that will make everyone forget about what happened!

But yes, we arer winning the war in Iraq.
And the people of Greenburg will be in squalor with nothing left for them to call home.

Thnaks Georgie, to sending all of their equipment away so you can conquer the war on terror. Asshole.

Thanks Georgie, you deserve to have a bullet through your head, incapacitating you to the point that you are a vegetable. Maybe then you will see the error of youre ways.

Wait, you're there already, what am i talking about?

A Freeway Blogger Grows in Brooklyn

Spring has not only brought the magnolias and the tulips, but it seems Brooklyn has acquired at least one freeway blogger.

Spotted just a few days ago, on the Caton Avenue overpass over the Prospect Expressway, facing the southbound lane, was a big, green, roughly circular sign that read in big handwritten letters:

BUSH CAN'T VETO THE PEOPLE!
It didn't last long enough for me to snap a picture, but it lasted long enough for hundreds of people to see and ponder as they headed for Ocean Parkway, and home.
